The Avengers rules ... 'nuff said

This flick rocked the ever-lovin' bacon, true believers. I've seen it twice and am on my way to see it a third time at a theater near ... me.

The Hulk steals the show and the Hawk' and the 'Widow add nice depth to balance the bickering among Cap, Iron Man and Thor.

I like that the villains are the Chitauri, led by a creepy and evil Loki ... the Skrulls or the Kree would've been too comic-booky. This movie is for everyone, all ages, all genders. It's the ultimate summer flick and will break every record in the book when it's all said and done. Move over Avatar, move over Titanic. AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!

R.I.P. MCA (Adam Yauch) of the Beastie Boys

I can't imagine a world where there is not a new Beastie Boys album to look forward to. It's all I've known my whole life. I think the first cassette tape I ever owned was "License to Ill" back in the mid 1980s. The last time they were here in the Bay Area for a show I bought tickets, but they had to cancel because MCA was diagnosed with throat cancer. I was sad then, and I am sad now.

Rest in Peace, MCA: you did a lot for world peace and worthy causes and you most definitely earned your license to ill ... forever.

Here's probably the greatest music video of all time. Thanks again, MCA.
