UFO X Fest - Historic BAL Theater - San Leandro, CA

Ladies and Gents: the Great Giorgio Tsoukalos from TV's "Ancient Aliens." Admittedly I had to doctor this photo of him and my Dad, as the pic that was taken of me & Giorgio didn't turn out so well - bad cell phone camera. This was taken at UFO X Fest at the historic BAL Theater near Oakland on E. 14th St. Another reason it's historic: it's where my Dad took my mom on their first date back in the late 1960s. Didn't know that till last night, neat-o, eh?

Here's the real pic of my brother, Giorgio and me. It was a fun night. The theater wasn't too crowded and you could easily access the expert speakers from History Channel's Ancient Aliens.

New THOR Trailer

The only good thing about Thor is that his movie will tie into Captain America and The Avengers. Other than that, I could do without the Lord of the Rings angle in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. 'Nuff said.

Premium Cap movie action figure - SO MUCH WIN

I love it. So ... much ... win! The Hasbro Toy Fair in New York is probably the only trade show in the world worth going to ... or at least the one I'd be willing to pay to enter.

Chris Evans to voice Cap for videogame version of movie

Cool. Having Chris Evans' likeness and voice, plus the official movie uniform will really create some good ties to the movie. This is a first day purchase, true believers. I like that these screen grabs have incorporated the updated uniform.

New Spider-Man costume for the new movie

Click on the photo to enlarge, true believers.

I'm not too hot and bothered by this either way. It'll work so long as the movie is good. If it sucks, everyone will bag on the changes they've made from the traditional outfit.

I have to give the Black Eyed Peas credit for they keep busting out the electronica hits that strike a cord with me. Yes, they sucked at the Super Bowl, but at least they looked cool and all TRON-like in their space-age outfits. That was tight, just like this song ...

Captain America movie TV spot

Here it is. Way too short to truly savor and enjoy, but hey, I'll take it!

The Red Skull, in the brief flash that we see, looks awesome! Check out the Marvel digital comic; it serves as a prequel to the movie and has incredible art work.

Hey Ben Rothlisberger: eat it, you slob

I am very happy the Big Ben of the over-rated Pittsburgh Steelers went out a loser today! Finally, all those front running Steelers fans can shut their annoying traps. As the great Lester Hayes once said "Super Sunday, what a day! I can't believe it ..."

Well, believe it Steelers fans! Your QB that was looking for "redemption" today got what he deserved ... as if winning a football game would erase the allegations of sexual assault from two different women.

When it counted, Green Bay's (and Cal's) Aaron Rodgers got it done. Big Ben, with his two interceptions, did not. Yay!
