The Watchmen will deliver in 2009

Take a look at this B&W "publicity photo" of the first 1940s Masked Adventurer Team from Allan Moore's seminal graphic novel, The Watchmen.

This snapshot of "The Minutemen" is very encouraging as to the authenticity and detail the movie adaptation will bring to the table.

I'm highly encouraged and can't wait for this deeply psychological story to be translated to the silver screen. I understand an anime DVD of the Pirate "comic within a comic" will release 5 days after the movie and will be eventually combined into the theatrical version in a super deluxe DVD set after the movie has left the theatres.

Time for the brainwashing to begin - Clockwork Orange Style!

Now that Obama appears to have locked up the Democratic nomination for president, the Republican and Democratic PR machines will kick into super-high gear. For an independent like me, it's fascinating to sit back and watch with an objective eye. The messages the campaigns put forward are very sophisticated and Matrix-like.

Love him or hate him, Independent talk show host Michael Savage very adeptly cuts the through the clutter of these messages to get to the truth, from his point of view.

He can be heard locally in San Francisco on 910 KNEW AM from 3 - 7 p.m.
Check his Web site for the show's availability in your town or even via podcast:

"The First Avenger: Captain America" set for 2011

Alright, true believers, we finally have a release date: May 6, 2011. Three long years, but it'll be worth if it they get the right cast and crew ... in the same way that Favreau and Downey Jr. collaborated to nail "Iron Man." If you saw Iron Man and stayed beyond the credits, you saw that Sam Jackson cameo'd as Nicky Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D. and he teased the "Avenger Initiative." So we know that Ed Norton is in as The Hulk and that Downey Jr. is Iron Man ... but who will dawn the WWII uniform of Captain America and wake up in modern times?

Rumor is Matthew McCounaughey is up for the gig ... HELL NO. McCounaghey is frakkin' liberal hippie scum that once got arrested for being doped out of his mind, playing the bongo drums naked at his home in Austin, TX - no joke, Google it.

I recently saw "A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints" with Downey Jr. and Shia LaBouf. I really like the gritty performance of a young, tall, strong kid named Tatum Channing, who I understand is playing "Duke" in the GI Joe movie. Too bad the producers of GI Joe nabbed him first because I think his performance in "Saints" would've translated into a fractured hero like NY's Steve Rogers.

That's my take, True Believers.

This is the kind of pudding that only $240 can buy

Ahhh, yeah! Levon and Barry (Sagitarius). Quite possilby the best sketch comedy skit I've ever seen ... right up there with Chris Walken's Blue Oyster Cult.

Enjoy ... the puddin', baby.
